The Swiss theologian Karl Barth was asked by a student during a seminar in the United States, "Dr Barth, what is the most profound thing you have ever learned in your study of theology?" Barth thought for a moment and then replied, "Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so." The students giggled at his simplistic answer, but their laughter was of a nervous sort as they slowly realised Barth was serious. From the book Essential Truths of the Christian Faith by RC Sproul
Dear Father, fill me with your love - your profound, satisfying, everlasting and unconditional love! Take my life as an empty cup and fill it till overflowing :)

So, so true :) My pastor recently mentioned that whenever she gets the chance to ask older men & women who have followed God for many years what the 'secret' to their faithfulness is, they always give such simple answers that it amazes her... and your post just reminded me of how the simple, 'cliched' things are really precious truths :)
Also, how did you make that image!
yes i'm just so amazed at how powerful these simple statements are! esp in children christian songs we used to sing in sunday school :D
Haha some christmas lights, heart shape filter in front of my lens, trial and error and some photoshop to clean the image up :)
...so it's TWO photos? i still have no idea how you did it (how did you get heart-shape filters to do so many lights?!) but wow, it's beautiful :)
haha yes theoretically it can be created all in one image, but i couldnt get it all nicely done so i (shamefully) ended up shooting 2 images, one with a simple heart shape cut-out from a peice of paper placed over the lens, and then another normal shot of the mug.
The light sources were from the christmas lights, but the filter made it into a heart shape instead of the usual blurred out circles.
